My employer gave me an assignment yesterday that I didn’t understand at all. He wants me to  create a favicon for the company website. So, instead of making myself look stupid, I decided to find out for myself just exactly what a favicon is. I found out that the name is short for “favorites icon”, because it’s the little icon that your web browser shows next to the URL in your list of Favorites. Well that certainly satisfied my curiousity about what it was, but it certainly didn’t give me nearly enough information for me to create one for the boss’s website!
