At a neighborhood block party a few weeks ago, I struck up a conversation that I always knew was in the re-modeling trade, but had never gotten around to introducing myself. Well, to make a long story short, we shared many stories and anecdotes; especially about my “proposed” basement re-finishing project. It was time well spent talking with someone in the business. I got more basement finishing ideas in the span of thirty minutes or so than I’d previously gotten in reading and perusing dozens of magazine and web sites. Now all I had to do is narrow down my now somewhat-lengthy list and begin putting some numbers together.
