As the name suggests, genital warts affect the moist tissues of the genital area. As far as genital warts treatment are concerned, there are many options that a medical practitioner can present to a patient. It is important to note, however, that because there is still no cure for HPV, the virus that causes genital warts, the disease cannot be completely eradicated and can recur later on. Genital warts can be treated with medication and surgery, depending on the severity. While there are “fact” sheets that say there is no link between genital warts and cervical cancer, medical websites say that recurrence of the disease may indeed cause the dreadful disease.
