Historical attractions and Menorca hotels

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I want to book a Mediterranean island break and a friend has recommended we think about a holiday in Menorca. I know that the island has some lovely beaches which I’m looking forward to, but I don’t want to lie on a sun lounger all day. I always like to get to know the place I’m staying and soak up some of its history and culture. So I’ve been looking at Menorca hotels in and around Ciutadella, which is apparently the island’s cultural capital, with a historic old town and beautiful harbour. It will certainly make a good start. I’m hoping that when we get there I’ll be able to find out more cultural secrets from the locals at the hotel.

Hotels in California

Monday, February 8th, 2010

My brother Dan and his wife Jane just moved out west. I think I’m going to go and visit them for about a week or so. I have so many vacation days stored up, I don’t know what to do with them to be honest. After visiting my brother for a week, I think I will tour California. I’ve found a great deal on some Monterey Hotels, so I’m pretty excited. I think I’m going to take a trip up North to the wine country, I’ve heard that is really nice as well. I plan on taking lots of pictures, you can find them on my facebook page.

Tips for People Who Want to Start a B & B

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

I’ve been in the bed and breakfast industry for 2 decades now and I’d like to share some advice for those who want to start their own B & B. Making a bed and breakfast feel like home for their guests should be every B & B owner’s top priority. If you are just starting out and you have a spouse, I suggest one of the spouses keep his day job while the B & B is still picking up business. I can understand a B & B owner’s dedication to the business but it is also important to give yourself some time for one’s self to avoid a burn out.

Party at Montezuma Costa Rica

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

My nephew and his college friends are serious backpackers. They enjoy it as it is a great and affordable way to see the world and meet new people. Recently they just came back from a 10 day trip to Costa Rica and they told me that the place was really paradise on earth. Anyway one of the places they visited was Montezuma Costa Rica which is located at the Puntarenas province on the edge of the Nicoya Peninsula.   Montezuma is a magnet for backpackers and budget travelers due to the availability of many budget hotels and inns in town. Apart from beach, the town is also famous for the partying scene especially during the weekend with many young “ticos” and tourists making their way there from San Jose. According to my nephew, their favorite place to party is Chico’s bar at the center of the town. It has large dance floor and if you need some fresh air, you can always step outside as the back of the hotel faces the sea. For those who prefer a quieter activity at night, you can always hope over to the Sano Banano hotel to catch a movie. Whatever your plans are, Montezuma is definitely a place worth visiting.

Renting One Of The Algarve Apartments

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

I am so excited about the new place I will be living very soon. I have made the arrangements and all that is left is for me to get the boxes and the larger pieces of furniture sent to me so that I can begin my life in my new place. I got a really great rental in the Algarve apartments and the whole area that I will be living in is just amazing. I am so happy and thrilled to be relocating to the area that is really my goal and it has been my dream for so long to be there.

Johnny and Barbara have been visiting in Sydney for the last three weeks. They have been having a wonderful time and traveling all over Australia. Before they left for Australia they had made all their reservation far in advance so they new that they would get the accommodations that they needed. Barbara was disabled and had a difficult time traveling, however the service in Australia was so great that they did not have any problems. Accessible Train Services made it very easy for them to get around and see a vast majority of Australia. They had traveled from Sydney to Perth and enjoyed every minute of it.

Sister Should Think About Changing Occupations

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

My sister is getting ready to get married to the man of her dreams. She has been in love with this guy since their first date. She always told me that one day he was going to be her husband. Her eyes just light up every time she talks about the wedding. I was in awe when she showed me her wedding gown, and the bridesmaids gowns were just as beautiful. She even went as far as reserving a NJ wedding limo to set the tone for the event. If I did not know any better, I would have thought that she did this for a living.

It seems that during the Easter period travel to Spain by air could be a problem for some passengers. It’s all about  the ongoing conflict over Spanish air traffic controllers and their overtime. Many controllers have been earning huge wages thanks to such overtime. Now, the Minister for Development, José Blanco, has told them he wants to see a 40 percent reduction in their take home pay. Naturally the traffic controllers are not happy with the idea of not being able to earn as much money, so there is a stalemate. But of course it’s the poor old traveller who loses out in these situations if flights are cancelled or delayed.

A Wonderful Gesture

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

My friend and her husband have been fighting a lot lately and she is worried about their marriage.  He really loves her and he surprised her with a wonderful gift.  He found a great deal on inexpensive island vacations and he booked a trip for the two of them to get away from it all and work on their marriage.  I told her that she is a lucky woman and that he is making a huge effort to save their marriage.  She is lucky that he truly loves her and feels like their marriage is worth saving.  I believe that they will work everything out and I am happy for them.

Culture Unlike any other in Croatia

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Europe is definitely one of the most popular travel destinations we have today. With the number of countries you may be wondering where you should go. Well, Croatia vacation packages are always a good option that you can go for. Although not many people immediately think about going here you will definitely fall in love with what they have to offer. Croatia is rich in culture and you can experience this when you go there.  They have been able to preserve integrity of their old buildings and traditions very well.  If you a lot of the country you will notice a number of small well preserved communities that carry on traditions and hand them down to other generations.  For all those people who love learning about how others live and discovering other cultures, Croatia will give you an experience that will make you want you come back again.
