Upper Cervical Connection
Sunday, December 11th, 2011The white rami fibres do not necessarily terminate in connection with the cells of the trunk ganglion with which they first come into AN Upper Cervical connection, but may pass these AND TERMINATE IN A HIGHER OR LOWER GANGLION, OR EVEN IN ONE OF THE GANGLIA OF THE SYMPATHETIC PLEXUSES. From the ganglia of the sympathetic trunk THE BRANCHES of the sympathetic nervous system ARISES. They differ from those of the cerebrospinal system in many respects, being in the first place of a grayish-white color, not pure white like the latter, since they consist mainly of non medullated nerve fibres, and furthermore, they rarely have a straight course and they form long BRANCHES.
