With the current economy and bankruptcies on the rise, many attorneys licensed in general practice of law, are starting to do bankruptcies. These attorneys, have gone out and advertised, printed new business cards, and maybe even put up a big billboard declaring that they are a bankruptcy attorney. While this is all legal, it doesn’t mean that the attorney is qualified and fully understands the bankruptcy law. That’s why when shopping for an attorney always ask how long they’ve practice law and what areas of law are they experienced in. If you’re going to be planned the big bucks, you want to make sure that they are fully qualified.
